Abeo is seeking new members.
We have embarked on the eco-farm project see Ecofarm link. Abeo will be a shareholder (the first) in the ecofarm project. This will give us a place to live and income to spend.
Membership Requirements
There is no join fee for Abeo, however, there is a membership process that includes: the completion of three week visitor period, which grants 'provisional' membership, and an uninterrupted year long stay which grants permament membership. During the three weeks and the all of membership, acceptance by existing members is required.

This system was adapted from another community (eastwind.org). It helps transition people to the alternative culture being created. Ultimately, if the members don't get along with each other, then everyone is miserable. It is our goal to bring people together in a functional way that enables our creativity while preventing individuals from stepping on each others toes. Keep in mind that this isn't a 'polling for popularity' system. Silence is consent. If a complaint occurs, the membership manager will work to resolve the issue through mediation. If there too many complaints (as the above table spells out), then a vote is called to resolve the situation. We don't want to ever 'give someone the boot' and hopefully we'll never have to.

Eco-Farm Shareholders
Abeo will not likely be the only shareholder in the eco-farm project, as such there is a larger 'community' of persons that may be living and working on the property. It is a large property and it is planned that Abeo will have it's own house and garden area. We will grow screening hedges and have other appropriate partitions for Abeo's privacy.
